Coaches

Terry Archenhold
 Terry has a USSF “C” license and has led teams at Riverside High School to a number of SC state championships with the most recent being a victory in 2009. He was named AAA coach of the year in 1997, 2001,2008 and 2009 as well as Region Coach of the Year in 2001-2003. In addition he was selected to coach in the North/South Classic all-Star game.Terry has coached a number of youth soccer teams to SC State Championships including assistant coach of the SGU Steamers, who were Region III finalists in 1990. In addition, he coached the SGU Magic team that won SC state championships from 1994-1997.

Nardia Lloyd
Nardia coaches within the CESA Academy program and continues to help develop our younger players.She was a four year starter at Western Carolina University and an All-State High School player at Hillcrest High School.

Jaime Malilong
Jaime relocated to South Carolina from Oklahoma nd began coaching with CESA in 2009.He coaches within our Academy and Select programs.

Jackie Cooper
Jackie has been with the CESA program for 3 years and coaches within our Academy Program.She has a USSF National "C" License and has been coaching for over 15 years at all levels.Jackie previously coached with  the Downtown Soccer Association and Greenville Futbol Club.In addition Jackie has been the Head Varsity Womens Coach at both Greer HS and J.L. Mann HS.Jackie played college soccer in both the ACC and SEC with Clemson University and L.S.U

Terrance Shearn
Terrance coaches within our CESA Academy and Select programs. He is also the Head Boys Coach for Southside Christian High School.Terrance played at the college level for Liberty University and grew up playing youth soccer here in Greenville,SC.

Hugo Biggar 
Hugo has coached at CESA for 3 years and has worked with both our Academy and Select programs. Hugo played college soccer at Spartanburg Methodist College and USC Upstate.He played professionally with the South Carolina Shamrocks and the Greenville Lions.

Justin Davis
Justin has a USSF National"C" License.Justin has been coaching at CESA for 2 years.He has worked with numerous boys and girls teams within our program.Previously he worked for Northside Soccer Club and Columbia United FC.In addition Justin was also an assistant High School coach and worked in this capacity at Northwestern High School.

Fabio Boateng
Fabio began coaching with CESA in 2009.He has a USSF "C" license and a Preliminary Coaching Badge from the Ghana Football Association.Fabio played 4 years of college soccer at the University of Ghana and also played semi-professionally with Adenta United in Ghana.In addition to coaching at CESA Fabio is also the Head Boys Varsity soccer coach at Boiling Springs High School after previously having led the Pinecrest High School Varsity Girls,NC to a Conference Championship.

Chris Nichols
Chris coaches within the CESA Select Program and has also worked as an Academy coach here at CESA.Chris holds a USSF "D" license and NSCAA Regional Diploma. Chris is the Head Girls Varsity Coach at Christ Church Episcopal School  and was named Region II-A Coach of the Year in 2009.Chris has been selected as a Co-Coach for the North Girls for this years North-South Soccer High School Classic game which will be held at Wofford College.He has previously been a High School Head Coach at Brookland Cayce High School in Columbia,SC where he was named Region Coach of the Year on three occasions.

Chris Christian
Chris joined the CESA program 3 years ago and has coached within our Academy and Select programs.Chris previously coached at Columbia Soccer Club and played at the college level at The Citadel.

Stephen Farrell
Steve is in his fourth year with CESA.He holds an NSCAA National Diploma and previously coached in Michigan with the Bloomfield Force Soccer Club and various High Schools.

Travis Archenhold
Travis holds  a USSF "C" license, He has coached the JL Mann boys varsity soccer team. He previously coached the Riverside JV team from 2000-03 and at GFC from 2002-03. Travis played on two club state champions with St Giles and was a Region III finalist in 1991. He played at Riverside High School and won four state championships from 1992-95. Travis was named All-Region in 1994-95. Additionally, he participated on the SC ODP team from 1990-95 and was named to the ODP Regional team in 1992.

Nick Finotti
 Nick played collegiately at The Citadel and Methodist College, where his team was an NCAA Division III finalist in 1995.In 2009 he led the CESA 94 Boys Premier to the USYSA Region III Championship and a 3rd place finish at the USYSA National Championships. He played professionally for the Myrtle Beach Seadawgs, who were national finalists in the USL 3rd division. Nick has both a USSF "A" license and an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. He was the head coach at Greenville High School and Riverside High School .In addition he was previously the head coach at Northwestern High School from 2002-005, leading the team to a #1 National ranking. Nick has been named a high school coach of the year both in his region and by the NSCAA.

Andrew Fleming
  Andrew was a member of the Virginia Tech men's soccer team from 1990-1992 and holds a USSF "B" license.  Andrew has over ten years of experience coaching at the club and high school levels.  Andrew was a member of the SC ODP staff in 2006-2007.In addition he is heavily involved in the organization and implementation of the CESA Recreational Program and the CESA Developmental League.

Keith Fredricksen
Keith is the Director of Goalkeeping at CESA and has been directly responsible for the high level of goalkeepers that CESA has produced in recent years.  Keith played soccer at High Point University from 1991-93 and Averett College from 1993-94. He was the coach of the girls varsity team at Greenville High School from 1999-2001 and has ten years experience coaching youth soccer. In addition, Keith was goalkeeper coach for the Carolina Dynamo and Greensboro Twisters, for both their youth soccer club and W-league team.

Andrew Hyslop
Andrew is the co-executive director of CESA as well as a coach in our club. Andrew is a native of Scotland but moved to South Carolina in time to play at various levels of youth play in the state. A graduate of the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg, Andrew was selected as an NSCAA All-American in 1990 and an NSCAA All-South member in 1989 and 1990. Andrew holds a USSF "B" license and has experience as a club and high school coach, tournament and camp director. Andrew played professional soccer with the Columbia Heat and the Carolina Shamrocks. He is also a member of the Region III boys ODP coaching staff. As the Director of Coaching for the former Greenville Futbol Club, Andrew coached the U18G team that won the Region III championship and placed third nationally in 2000, and he coached the U18G and U15B teams that were Region III finalists in 2004.


David Minihan
David is the Academy Director at CESA and has organized and implemented a very successful program that has allowed CESA to continue to develop talented young players who have entered our Select soccer program.He is a native of Limerick,Ireland and was selected to represent Ireland at the Youth National Team level on numerous occasions.David also played professional soccer with the Charleston Battery, South Carolina Shamrocks and Greenville Lions.

Tom Morris
Tom joined CESA on a full time basis in 2009 and is the Director of the CESA Junior Academy Program.Tom holds an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.He is directly responsible for evaluating, identifying and developing younger players within our Recreation Program.Tom works closely with our Recreation coaches to ensure that future players here at CESA receive quality instruction within a fun and challenging environment.He played collegiate soccer at Canisius College and Franklin Pierce College and later played for  Performance FC of the PASL and NPSL.Tom has an extensive coaching backgound and worked with Greenville Futbol Club and Anderson Soccer Academy at the youth level.He was also the Anderson University, SC Men's Assistant Coach from 2002-2007.

Rich Weber
Rich is a member of the CESA full time staff and works with numerous teams as a Head Coach, while also working closely with Keith Fredricksen to develop the goalkeepers within the CESA program.He played college soccer at Spartanburg Methodist College and Greensboro College.He has previously been the Director of Coaching with Rockdale Youth Soccer and has coached with both GSA and Cape Fear Youth Soccer Association.


Ralston Moore
Ralston played for the Jamaica National Team and at Clemson University. Ralston holds a USSF “A” license. He has coached three boys’ teams to SC state championships, with one Region III finalist, and thirteen girls’ teams to SC state championships, with two Region III semi-finalists.

David Craig
David holds a NSCAA Regional License, NSCAA National Diploma and NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.From 2002-2008 David was the Head Boys Varsity Coach at Eastside High School and led them to the 2005 AAA State Championship.He was the 2004 II-AAA Co-Coach of the Year and the 2005 High School Sports Report AAA Coach of the Year.David was also named 2008 SCACA Boys Soccer Coach of the Year.
David played four years of High School Soccer at Wade hampton High School and was named Co-Captain in 1993.

Mehmet Gungor
Mehmet been coaching for CESA for 2 years. He has coached at the club level for over 15 years.Mehmet previously worked with the Laurel Highlands Football Club in Pennsylvania.Mehmet holds a USSF "D" License.

Carlos Osorio
Carlos has experience coaching at the professional, college, high school and premier club levels.Carlos has a USSF "B".License.He currently coaches at CESA and is also an Assistant Men's coach at Wofford College.Carlos played Junior College soccer at Miami Dade South and was a member of the National Championship team in 1979.He then played his 3 remaining years at USC-Spartanburg (Upstate) where he was inducted into the Soccer Hall of Fame.
In addition, Carlos won 2 State Championships while coaching at Dorman and Wade Hampton High Schools and he was named the 1998 South Carolina High School  Coach of the Year.He has coached numerous teams to the SC State Challenge Cup Championship and his teams have participated in the Southern Regional tournament on a consistent basis.

Keith Parkinson
 Keith played college soccer at FIU, Clemson, and USCS, and was named the NAIA Region VI player of the year. He played professionally for Manchester City FC, Sligo Rovers of Ireland, Raleigh Flyers, Charleston Battery, and SC Shamrocks. Keith has a USSF “B” license and has experience coaching at the professional, collegiate, and youth levels. He has level several teams to SC state championships.

Jim Rinker
Jim played for Greensboro College and was a professional player with the Greensboro Dynamos when they won the 1994 National Championship. Jim has an NSCAA Advanced Diploma and has experience coaching at the college and youth levels. He is an SC ODP staff coach, and was the assistant coach for the GFC U18G Region III champions in 2000.

Russell Shelley
Russell is a graduate of Lander University, Russell has a USSF "B" License and NSCAA Premier Diploma.. He has experience coaching at the club and high school levels and was formerly the Director of the Sumter Soccer club and head coach of the men’s varsity team at Sumter High School. Russell was an SC ODP staff member from 1998-2006 and has been a member of the ODP Region III Staff from 2007-Present. He has coached numerous teams to SC State Challenge Cup Championships.

Pearse Tormey
Pearse is the co-executive director of CESA as well as a coach in our club. As a native of Ireland, Pearse represented his country at all levels of youth play. A graduate of Clemson University, Pearse was a member of the 1987 Clemson National Championship Team and finished his college career with over 40 goals and 40 assists. While playing for the Tigers, he was twice named All-American and was named to the All-ACC Team in 1988-1990. Pearse holds USSF "A" and National Youth licenses and has experience as a club and high school coach, tournament and camp director. Pearse was a staff coach for the Adidas ESP Camp from 2003-2006. He played professional soccer with the Charleston Battery, Carolina Shamrocks and Greenville Lions. Pearse is also a member of the South Carolina ODP coaching staff.

Mike Thompson
  Mike grew up playing soccer in Fayetteville, NC, and later graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he ran cross country and track.He holds an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and a National Goalkeeping Diploma.Mike went on to coach for four years for Greensboro Youth Soccer and played for a number of club and amateur teams in the area.  Mike has experience coaching at the youth and high school level and holds a NSCAA National Diploma and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma.
