CESA is in the process of preparing for the upcoming 2012-2013 Select soccer year and we would like to welcome back our current players. We look forward to seeing you as we begin the evaluation and tryout process and we would also like to thank those players and families who will be joining our program for the first time. It is vital to us that we continue to improve and develop our program while recognizing the support shown to the club by those who have been an integral part of our ongoing success.
We would like to take the time to thank each and every family who has been a part of our Select Program during the 2011-2012 soccer year. Your support of our program is appreciated and we are pleased to see the continued development of our players. Our staff is very much looking forward to the next year and we are excited about the future. We will be announcing our coaching staff for the next year shortly and feel comfortable in saying that our players will be in good hands. We have several new additions to our staff and look forward to seeing them work with our players at the Premier, Challenge and Classic levels. We will offer program in Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson and are excited about the opportunities ahead.
We have continued to see growth within our Select program and the level of talent on display is encouraging. In the 2010-2011 seasons our Select program was made up of 794 players while the 2011-2012 seasons saw our Select membership grow to 844 players. Our overall club numbers have also risen with the 2011-2012 membership rising to 3206. Our 2010-2011 membership was 2909. We have tremendous facilities available and hope to see our overall club membership continue to grow. You will hopefully notice our CESA billboards located on Pelham and Woodruff Road which feature current CESA players Cole Seiler (Georgetown University) and Stephanie DeVita (Furman University). These players have come through our Select program and we do feel it is important to let people in our community know that these players are locally produced as they prepare to begin their college careers in the fall of 2012. It would also be worth your time to take a few minutes and watch our current CESA TV production at www.carolinaelitesc.com . This features all of our current seniors discussing their time at CESA. We are committed to continuing to make our club a place that will attract soccer families in the Upstate area to play with us.
We offer Select soccer opportunities at the Classic, Challenge and Premier levels for our boys and girls ages 13-18 and we feel that each level can offer opportunities for growth for all of our players. Every player wants and need to enjoy the game. We encourage our players to watch soccer and gain a better understanding of how and why we are asking them to train and play in a particular manner. Some have dreams of becoming a professional player, some want to play at the college level and many aspire to be better prepared to represent their school. We have a place for each of these players and want them to make CESA their club of choice.
We take pride in offering a quality product to our members and take very seriously the opportunity to develop the players we coach. We are committed to ensuring that our young players improve and we want them to be a part of our club for the whole of their youth soccer career. We look forward to seeing each of our current club members as well as many new CESA players in the coming weeks and months.
