Congratulations to the multiple CESA teams finishing as champions and finalists during the Presidents Medal Cup.

The CESA 95 Girls Classic team coached by Terrance Shearn took home first place in the Under 16 Girls first division of the Presidents Medal Cup and will represent CESA and SCYSA at the upcoming Presidents Cup Regional Championships to be held in Greensboro, North Carolina in June 2012. The 95 Girls won a tough round robin group which included Furman United U16 Gladiators, SCUFC 95 Girls Crecent 1, Carolina FC 95 Girls and Spartanburg Arsenal 95 Ladies.

The CESA 93 Girls Classic team coached by Chris Nichols and the CESA Spartanburg 93 Girls Classic team coached by Solomon Nakom and Mark Henry squared off in an all CESA final for the 18 Girls Division 1 title. Coach Nichols and the 93 Girls Classic team came away with a hard fought 3-0 victory. Congratulations to both teams on an excellent tournament.

In the Boys 18/19 Recreation division it was an all CESA affair with the CESA Spartans defeating CESA Nagelkirk 1-0 in a close contest.

In the 16 Boys Classic 2 Division Brian Dender led his squad to the final where they fell 3-2 in an exciting match with the NASA 95 Strikers. CESA defeated BUFC Samba 4-0, DSC 95 White 3-2, GCU U16 3-0 and SCUFC 95 Boys Crescent II 5-0 in the runup to the final and showed great potential. The team proved to be a real force and should return as an even stronger team next year.
