The CESA 98 Girls Premier team coached by Carlos Osorio have returned from Orlando, Florida and the Disney Jr Soccer Showcase. The girls defeated Tampa Bay United Premier 98 (FL) 1-0 in the final. Goalkeeper Lexi McMullen posted consecutive shutouts in both the semi-Final ( Norcross 99 Fury Premier GA) and final.

The girls rebounded from a disappointing opening match loss to the Cooper City Cobras 98/99 Premier(FL) to win four straight games to capture the 2011 Disney Jr Showcase events Predator Division Championship.

They closed out group play by beating Clay County SC United (FL) 3-1 and Gwinnett SA 99 Phoenix Red (GA) 2-1.

Members of the 98 Girls Premier are Izzy Russell, Jackie Marshall, Josie Gillespie, Hannah Torris, Katie Colwick, Haven Ashy, Ashlyn Rider, Lexi McMullen, Kendall Bayne, Alaynah Traurig, Erin McCown, Kat Conn, Samantha Britt, Kendall Claxton and Lindsey Christopher.

During group play Katie Colwick scored 3 goals and had 1 assists. Samantha Britt had 1 goal and 1 assist.Josie Gillespie scored 1 goal and added an assist, while Hannah Torris had an assist.

The semi-final with Norcross 99 Fury was a tight match that was won in the first half when Samantha Britt finished from close range after a strong run and cross from Katie Colwick who continually caused problems for the opposition with her strength and pace.

In the final against Tampa Bay United the 1-0 victory was sealed when Colwick and Britt combined again with Samantha scoring her second game winning goal in a row.

The team displayed strong defensive performances throughout the event and the back four and midfield was organized and efficient in limiting opponents to very few chances.
